Thai food, bowls, flatbreads, burgers, or simply a superb coffee – when you enter the Banken Food Hall in Aarhus, Denmark, the choice is all up to you. Covering an area of around 2,000 square metres, the indoor food court combines eight different culinary options that are used by thousands of visitors every day. The Danish AV integrator ProGear was responsible for the multi-zone sound system of the former historic bank building dating back to the 19th century and utilised a LD Systems’ Dante-based audio system from the Adam Hall Integrated Systems portfolio. CURV 500 in the great hall ProGear configured a total of eleven audio zones for the Banken Food Hall. The central lounge area is the largest zone and focal point and posed the greatest acoustic challenge with its open space of 440 square metres, six-metre high ceilings, and large windows. “Guests sit and stand here, walk around and chat. We also had to find a solution that was compact and visually appealing,” explains Tobias Pedersen from ProGear. Neu-Anspach, Germany, 10 January 2025. LD Systems announces the immediate availability of the MAUI G3 MIX. The MAUI 11 G3 MIX and MAUI 28 G3 MIX models are expanding the application possibilities of the popular MAUI G3 series with an integrated digital six-channel mixer, professional effects, and convenient wireless remote control via smartphone or tablet. With the new column PA systems, the MAUI family is finally complete. The versatile portfolio is complemented by the MAUI 44 G2 professional PA system for full-blown band sound. The MAUI G3 MIX series combines all components for flexible live use in one PA system: mixer, effects, dynamics processing, controller, power amplifiers, and speakers. The integrated six-channel mixer enables the connection of microphones, line devices, and high-impedance instruments as well as the wireless connection of external devices via Bluetooth stereo. On the output side, the column PA can be expanded to include a second subwoofer and up to two monitors, each with a separate monitor mix. To double the number of available channels, users can also connect two MAUI G3 MIX via the SysLink® connection. With 63 participating companies and over 50 start-ups, the PCI Creative Science Park in Ílhavo, Portugal, brings together entrepreneurs and established companies to collaborate on sustainable projects. In addition to separate buildings for materials science and information electronics, the main building includes a large auditorium for lectures, discussion panels and other events. The AV service provider responsible, Arte & Som, opted for a flown MAILA XL line array system to provide consistent sound coverage in the elongated room with its steeply rising rows of seats.
